About the role
You are responsible for ensuring the day-to-day running of a Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) medical centre, managing both medical and general logistics, as well as overseeing manpower resources and duty systems.

 

What you will be working on

  • Perform clinical duties and provide medical support to the camp's tenant units
  • Supervise and train Full-Time National Servicemen (NSFs) medics in the medical centre
  • Manage the medical centre's manpower resources and duty system
  • Oversee the provision of report sick services, medical reviews, medical cover, and emergency medical treatment to servicemen within supported units

 

Challenge(s)

  • Balancing the diverse demands of providing effective medical support while understanding and adapting to the supported units' training and operational activities

 

What we are looking for

  • Preferably with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Education in administration, nursing, health science, or a related field
  • Strong leadership skills to successfully lead a team
  • Good communication skills to deal with a myriad of stakeholders

  • Education in Exercise Sciences, preferably a Masters in Human Research/Exercise Physiology
  • At least 6 years of work experience in performance sports
  • Past experience in heat-related research is advantageous
  • Intermediate knowledge and understanding of biostatistics
  • Knowledge of prevalent health and safety legislation
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Ability to mentor or coach a junior scientist
