You develop the Defence Relations and International Engagement (DRIE) strategy to guide MINDEF/SAF’s Defence Relations (DR) efforts in the area of cyber. On this, you review, analyse and provide policy recommendations regarding MINDEF/SAF’s engagement strategy, collaboration, and defence relations. You also lead efforts to formalise collaboration efforts with foreign cyber partners and work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that cyber collaboration and cyber defence relations policies are well coordinated. You are responsible for evaluating units’ proposed requirements of new infrastructure and upgrading projects. With that, you provide recommendations and seek approval from the appropriate authorities. You also assist to develop the Specific Operational Requirements (SORs) and Operational Masterplans (OMPs) for infrastructure development in support of the Republic of Singapore Navy's (RSN) future capabilities build-up. You manage the facilities upgrading works and ad-hoc new requirements in near-term infrastructure projects as well as evaluate the land-use development affecting naval bases and naval operations.

You play a pivotal role by representing the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) in providing customised hospitality packages and service delivery to foreign warships visiting Singapore. You devise the development of Singapore’s national space policies that prioritise our strategic considerations (including security), growth of local capability, industry ecosystem and talent pipeline. You will be the subject matter expert on industrial/civilian issues in space, underpinned by a strong understanding of Singapore’s strategic interests, security considerations and national prioritise. You also advance national space policies by coordinating with relevant Whole-of-Government (WoG) agencies (MFA, AGC, MINDEF, CAAS, IMDA etc.) to formulate sound and robust positions, in consultation with Emerging Technologies Branch. In addition, you work closely with the International Relations team to monitor global/regional developments on space policy issues, and conduct research on regulatory frameworks, norms, and rules, to develop policy briefs to guide decision makers. Your challenges lie in addressing new, complex, and interdisciplinary issues, and being able to absorb and retain information well.
You must have a tertiary qualification in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), International Relations or any related field.
