Defence Technology Management

You lead workstreams to tailor capability development (CapDev) processes based on project nature, aiming for greater agility and user-centricity. While doing so, you implement targeted safeguards to maintain fundamental governance principles such as cost prudence and system safety. In addition, you codify new CapDev processes and develop the roadmap to materialise the digitalisation of MINDEF/SAF's CapDev processes. Your challenge lies in understanding a wide range of cross-cutting CapDev-related issues, and harmonising the considerations of different CapDev stakeholders across the defence ecosystem

You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably with at least 6 years' work experience in the area of defence technology. Possession of strong interpersonal, analytical and planning skills is required.

You oversee the team in the implementation of MINDEF's defence technology security policies so as to safeguard Singapore's defence and security interests. To do so effectively, you will need to collaborate and interact with internal and external agencies. You carry out technical assessments of defence equipment and technologies related to non-proliferation and export controls. You also conduct analytical studies related to the job. In addition, you examine defence systems and technologies to assess the impact of their transfers. Your challenge lies in keeping abreast of developments in strategic issues and current affairs that are related to export control and non-proliferation.

You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in a Technical or Scientific field, with at least 6 years' relevant experience. Having prior experience and knowledge in defence-related work and/or export control [e.g. Singapore Strategic Good (Control) Act] is advantageous. Possession of good communication and writing skills is essential.

You review the MINDEF's strategy and roadmap for environmental sustainability, in line with national developments and whole-of-government efforts. You will be responsible to establish policies to ensure MINDEF-related organisations' effective contribution towards MINDEF/SAF's sustainability targets. Your challenge lies in understanding complex policy issues, providing sound analysis, highlighting potential trade-offs and articulating considerations to senior management.

You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably with at least 6 years' work experience in resource policy and planning. Possession of strong interpersonal, analytical and planning skills is required. Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.

You assist in developing plans and specific steps to achieve the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN)'s long term sustainability-related goals. On this, you implement climate mitigation and adaptation plans within RSN. In addition, you will drive the sustainability education and communications efforts at the RSN's level. Your challenge lies in staying abreast of green technology, implementing it within the RSN and leveraging these technology to help the RSN achieve its sustainability goals.

You must have a tertiary qualification in Sustainability, Environment, Corporate Social Responsibilities, Data Analytics, or any related field, with at least 6 years' relevant experience. Having certifications related to sustainability, environment management and/or maritime sector is advantageous. You should possess understanding in sustainability, climate changes issues, and how they impact the public sector.

You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably with at least 15 years' work experience in the area of defence technology. Possession of strong interpersonal, analytical and planning skills is required.

You also drive the compliance plans and processes to safeguard MINDEF/SAF’s defence technology. Your challenge lies in maintaining effective and efficient controls amidst an evolving Tech-Sensitivity and geopolitical landscape while having a strategic view of Singapore’s export controls regime in order to position Singapore's defence industries to meet MINDEF/SAF requirements. You must be able to work with a diverse range of stakeholders and balance their views and input in the formulation of policy options for mutual benefits and interests.

You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in Engineering or in a Technical field, with at least 10 years’ work experience in the area of export controls and/or defence technology systems. Possession of good interpersonal and communication skills is required. You must also have strong analytical and planning abilities.

You develop and sustain strategic capabilities in the defence industry within the Industry Development (ID) group. You also ensure that the defence industry can provide critical support and services to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). In addition, you assist in policy formulation and the implementation of frameworks to promote good governance and strong partnerships within the defence industry. On this, you support the department in data collection and reports, as well as the preparation of materials and reports for meetings.

You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably with at least 2 years' work experience in engineering or capability development field. Possession of strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills is essential. Having experience in policy or regulation is advantageous. Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
