You oversee the defence technology collaboration with US and Europe with the key aim of securing technology access for MINDEF. On this, you lead efforts to analyse trends and cross-cutting issues with potential implications to bilateral technology cooperation so as to review country strategies and identify new opportunities to strengthen partnerships amidst the changing technology landscape and geo-political changes. You work across a wide spectrum of local and foreign stakeholders, such as the Defence Technology Community (DTC) entities, DTC HQ departments, Defence Policy Office and Defence Technology Attachés, to align and implement defence technology collaboration strategies to advance MINDEF’s interests, for example, in acquisition programmes, and Research & Technology. You lead Defence Technology Collaboration Office (DTCO)’s planning for major events (e.g. Singapore Airshow) to strategise engagements for DTC principals and foreign counterparts, and also oversee the effective corporate functioning of the DTCO.
