About the role

You lead the Section to provide governance for geospatial data policies and standards that is applicable to both Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and MINDEF/SAF users.

What you will be working on

• Manage the Central Depository for Geospatial Data
• Develop new geospatial products, applications and services to support Home Team's routine operations and Counter-Terrorism operations
• Ensure seamless application and data interoperability between agencies
• Adhere to projected schedules and meet project deadlines without compromising quality

Challenge(s)

• Need for a good understanding in geospatial and/or GIS applications and a general understanding of Homeland Security Operations
• Managing stress in daily work, especially for prolonged operations

What we are looking for

• Education in engineering or related to geospatial/GIS field
• At least 6 years of working experience, preferably in geospatial/GIS/data governance relevant to Homeland Security operations
• General knowledge of operations landscape and security requirements in homeland security & community
• Quick-thinking ability to provide contingencies to achieve mission success when plans change
• Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills
