You monitor and analyse global and regional defence and security developments. On this, you sense-make geostrategic and security-related events as well as collaborate with stakeholders to address information gaps and validate your assessment. You are required to present your findings and assessment in writing for decision-making. Your key challenge lies in understanding the complex and dynamic strategic security landscape worldwide.

You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in Political Science, Philosophy and Economics, International Relations, Arts, History or Social Sciences, with at least 6 years' work experience in a relevant field. Strong analytical and communication skills as well as a good command of spoken and written English are essential. You should possess good knowledge and awareness of security-related developments in current and international affairs. You may be required to travel overseas at short notice for work.

You plan and execute engagement programmes with countries under your purview. On this, you monitor and assess developments pertaining to defence relations and engagements of these countries. You also have to engage and maintain close collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Your challenge lies in keeping abreast with the current affairs and geopolitical developments and propose or adjust plans accordingly.

You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in Social Science majors such as Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Sociology and Geography. Possession of good communication, time management, analytical, writing, and organisation skills is essential. You also have to be strong in networking and interacting with both internal an external stakeholders. Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.

You manage the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Defence Relations with foreign air forces. You also formulate policy papers and proposals to facilitate decision making by senior MINDEF/RSAF management. In addition, you develop and maintain Defence Relations engagements and training partnerships with strategic partners. You will also assist in managing the bilateral forums with foreign countries.

You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in Political Science, History or other Humanities. Prior research or working experience in the field of international relations and/or knowledge of a foreign language will be an advantage. Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.

Your responsibilities include engagement planning and execution, as well as providing timely and accurate DR updates to key stakeholders for visits and multilateral events. You are also required to prepare key briefings and perform secretariat functions. You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in Political Science, International Relations or related field. You must be conscientious, possess initiative, be diplomatically inclined and a team player. Competent knowledge of current affairs and international geopolitics is required. A strong command of written and spoken English is necessary. You should possess strong organisation, time management and interpersonal skills, and can work under pressure to meet set deadlines. You are responsible to Head Defence Relations Branch (Hd DRB) for monitoring their navy-of-interest’s (NOIs) strategy and updating the Defence Relations (DR) ledger to reflect shifts in offensive/defensive DR interests.

You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in Politics, International Relations or any related field. Experience in Defence Relations or International Relations from whole-of-government, including MFA, MHA, MOT as well as learning institutes, like RSIA and CIL are advantageous. In addition, you should have a good understanding of the geopolitics situation, possess an excellent command of written and spoken English, be resourceful, outspoken and with excellent interpersonal and communications skills, as well as meticulous staff work ability. You must also have excellent organisation and management skills, have a strong composure and clarity of thought, and be able to handle heavy workload, especially during high tempo periods. You are part of a team that plans and implements the Army’s defence relations activities and events involving principals from MINDEF/SAF and foreign delegations, including protocol and hospitality arrangements. You also act as an advisor on matters relating to protocol to other stakeholders in the organisation. On this, you collect, compile, format and database information using data management tools and programmes to sense-make and assess security implications for MINDEF/SAF. Your challenge lies in operating in a rapidly-changing and diverse security environment and working with tight deadlines.

You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in Strategic/Security Studies, International Relations or a related field. You should have a good awareness of geo-strategic developments, regional terrorism and security landscape. Familiarity with data-basing and analytics tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau would be an asset. You should also be independent and conscientious in meeting tasking deadlines amidst time pressure. The ability to communicate and work well with others would be advantageous.
