You are responsible to minimise injury risk and enhance soldier performance. On this, you provide sport/exercise science and exercise physiology consultancy within the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). You develop and monitor fitness (e.g. pre-habilitation or conditioning) training programmes, and human performance projects in the various fields to minimise acute and overuse injury risks which result in stronger, healthier soldiers. Your challenges lie in being able to differentiate and identify the best practices and training programmes that will be relevant for strengthening our soldiers. You assist in the identification of operational gaps and opportunities in musculoskeletal health for inclusion in the Medical Research Workplan, conduct musculoskeletal health research projects and operationalisation trials, and support the analysis of musculoskeletal health data while implementing approved interventions to the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) units.
