You lead the transformation of MINDEF into a digital-first, data-ready organisation by developing the MINDEF Data Strategy to drive the exploitation of data for policy reviews, operational decision making, and to derive workforce efficiencies. You also develop and implement data governance and data management policies and processes in support of the MINDEF Data Strategy outcomes, while ensuring measurements are in place to assess data maturity and quality across MINDEF/SAF. In addition, you partner with digital and data stakeholders across the MINDEF/SAF ecosystem to develop data exploitation strategies that unlock the potential of data for various lines of businesses. You must have a tertiary qualification, with a minimum of 8 years' related working experience, including 3 years in a supervisory position. Prior experience in business/digital/data transformation, policy, governance, compliance, strategy and implementation, as well as supervisory and management experience, will be advantageous. You develop and implement strategic thrusts that result in the advancement of data exploitation in MINDEF. On this, you guide business domains (e.g. HR, NS, Corporate & Finance) to map out their domain-level data strategies to promote the use of data as an integral part of business. You provide enablers and remove impediments for domains in advancing data use. You also partner Data Scientists and relevant specialists (e.g. design thinkers) to provide consultancy to domains as needed. In addition, you track and report the success of the overall data strategy to senior management and WoG.
