The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN)'s Formidable-class Frigate RSS Tenacious joined Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF)'s Murasame-class destroyer JS Yudachi for a passage exercise (PASSEX) on 6 Mar 2022, after they had both participated in the multilateral naval exercise MILAN.

Conducted in the Bay of Bengal, the PASSEX saw both ships going through a series of drills to hone their skills.

Through the PASSEX, we also reaffirmed our warm and friendly bilateral relations with the JMSDF. Despite the pandemic, we conduct regular bilateral engagements such as this PASSEX to deepen mutual trust and strengthen cooperation.

We look forward to our future exercises together.
