Our Chief of Navy RADM Sean Wat attended the recent 25th International Seapower Symposium (ISS) held in Newport, US from 19 to 22 September. The biennial event saw a gathering of naval leaders from around the world to share, discuss and deliberate on matters of global maritime significance.

At the biennial event, RADM Wat shared insights on how the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) leverages artificial intelligence and unmanned technologies to safeguard Singapore's maritime interests.

“ In order to ensure that navies reap the benefits of AI, we need to ensure that there are robust frameworks in place to address potential security, governance and ethical concerns. Navies need to put in place frameworks to ensure responsible, reliable, robust and safe use of AI. ”
