As frontliners, the sea holds a special place in the hearts of our Maritime Security Task Force (MSTF).
They are out on our waters every single day. Patrolling, surveilling, conducting boardings and checks - all as part of an intricate and robust system to ensure our seas are safe and secure.
Throughout the year, MSTF continued to build on this firm foundation of cooperation with our maritime partners and fellow navies through inter-agency exercises like Highcrest, whilst also running our 24/7 Information Fusion Centre that houses international liaisons from 18 countries.
Today marks MSTF's 11th year and our frontliners chose to protect the sea in a different way - by conducting a clean up of almost 8km of our beaches. It was a meaningful activity that saw them collecting over 145kg of waste for cleaner shores for us all.
They are the gears that never stop turning and we stand proud of their efforts to keep our little island nation safe from maritime security threats. Happy Anniversary to our MSTF!
