(Crew of RSS Supreme have returned safely for the deployment and have all been tested negative for COVID-19)

And after steaming more than 20,000km across the Pacific Ocean… she is finally back!

RSS Supreme kept Singapore's flag flying high at Exercise RIMPAC 2020 – the first overseas exercise for both the SAF and RSN since COVID-19. Bravo Zulu to her crew for a successful and safe deployment – we are proud of each and every one of you for surpassing all always!

"Pass line one!"

"Before we left, we set out to do three things: to sail across the Pacific Ocean safely, to take charge as Commander Task Group and Sea Combat Commander at Exercise RIMPAC, and to fire the ASTER-15 missile successfully. We achieved all of our goals, and came home safely after spending more than 60 days on board with no shore leave. I am so proud of my crew." – LTC Chua Eileen, Commanding Officer RSS Supreme.

One of the many beautiful sunsets out at sea that made the deployment memorable.

ME2 Jeremy Ho (right) was the senior supervisor and surveillance cluster trainer for the "SEAL Team". As a seasoned watch keeper, he guided the new members on their watch duties. Beyond being the trainer in the "SEAL Team", ME2 Ho also took on logistics support for half of the watches in the Sea Security Group.

The long stay-in periods were emotionally trying for ME2 Ho as his wife was pregnant with their first child. He could only "accompany" her through video calls and was not able to accompany on gynaecology appointments. ME2 Ho is grateful for his wife’s strong support during this unprecedented times.
