Reaffirming Warm Ties Between Neighbours

20 Jul 23

On 18 Jul 23, Commander of Maritime Security Command / Maritime Security Task Force (CM), RADM Augustine Lim visited Lumut Naval Base as part of the CM-Western Fleet Commander (WFC) Interaction Programme.

He was warmly welcomed by Royal Malaysian Navy's (RMN's) WFC VADM Datuk Abu Bakar bin Md Ajis. The leaders discussed on various areas of mutual concerns, such as combating sea robberies and ways to enhance maritime security.

RADM Lim signed a guestbook to commemorate his visit to Lumut Naval Base.

During RADM Lim's visit, he also met with RMN Naval Region 1 commander, RADM Farizal Myeor. Both commanders took some time out to join in a friendly pistol shooting event.

The visit has provided an opportunity for the operational commanders to deepen understanding for cooperation in maritime security operations. We look forward to more such fruitful discussions in future.
