FIT@Home


FIT@Home is a virtual NS FIT programme that will be conducted over a commercial video conferencing platform. The virtual programme ensures you can continue to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle and remain operationally ready. FIT@Home offers you greater convenience and flexibility, while maintaining comparable standards of training and safety to other NS FIT activities. All NSmen who are required to take IPPT (PES A/B/B1/B2/C1 Status) are eligible for FIT@Home.

Important Information for all participants:

  • You are not to participate in FIT@Home alone. Please ensure you have a 'buddy'/contact/NOK in close proximity to you during the session. This buddy will render any necessary assistance should the need arise. 
  • Before booking a session on FIT@Home, please ensure that you have updated your email address and mobile number on the NS Portal.
  • You will receive an email and SMS reminder from the NS Portal with the web link for the training session and the Safety Declaration Form. You can also find these details under “Upcoming Bookings” on the NS Portal.
  • Please be properly attired in your PT kit with proper running shoes. You are advised to have a water bottle and a towel with you, including your mobile phone for emergency purposes.
  • You should log in 15 minutes in advance, and complete your FIT@ Home sessions at the following locations listed on NS Portal; namely (1) Homes/Place of Residence, (2) Workplaces, (3) Parks and Community Spaces. The exercise location should have sufficient space, be shaded, well-ventilated, and away from human or vehicular traffic. Please ensure that you are in a location with stable internet connection as you will have to switch on your camera and be seen in the frame at all times.
  • Attendance for FIT@Home sessions will count towards your FIT requirements. Completion of each FIT@Home session is counted as one session of NS FIT. Participants attempting the NS FIT programme will have to complete 10 sessions of NS FIT, inclusive of one IPPT attempt. You must be punctual for your training. The fitness instructor will not allow you to join the session if you are more than 10 minutes late. 
  • To facilitate attendance taking, do ensure that the last 4 characters of your NRIC and your full name (as stated in your IC) are shown on the commercial video conferencing platform as your display name, e.g. 123A Tommy Tan. If you fail to adhere to this requirement, attendance will not be taken and it will not be counted as a successful completion of FIT@Home.
  • As part of the safety requirements, you will have to switch on your camera at all times and be seen in the frame throughout the session. This allows the fitness trainers to monitor your safety and exercise form throughout the FIT@Home session. 
  • Attendance will not be counted if you drop off mid-way. If you drop out due to patchy internet connection, you are encouraged to rejoin the session quickly and inform the online fitness instructor. If reconnection is not readily possible, please inform the NS Call Centre at contact@NS.sg or 1800-3676767 (1800-eNSNSNS) for follow up to check on validity of your disrupted session.
  • Your attendance will be reflected in NS Portal within three to five working days. You may contact NS Call Centre at 1800-367 6767 (+65 6567 6767 from overseas) or email contact@NS.sg for further queries. 

Cancellations:

  • No attendance will be counted if the sessions are cancelled before the commencement of any workouts. You may contact NS Call Centre at 1800-367 6767 (+65 6567 6767 from overseas) or email contact@NS.sg for further queries.
