Application Status


You must track and monitor your deferment application status via Manage Call-Ups & Manning on the NS Portal. The possible statuses are:

  1. Pending Investigation: Your application is successfully submitted and undergoing processing by the HRSSC-NSSC
  2. Pending Decision: Your application has been processed by HRSSC-NSSC and routed to your unit’s CO or equivalent for approval
  3. Successful: Your application for deferment has been approved. You are not required to attend your Operationally Ready National Service (ORNS)  activity
  4. Unsuccessful: Your application for deferment was unsuccessful. You may view the reason stated in the outcome letter
