The DSO Materials Team has developed and matured capabilities in the design, fabrication and processing, as well as engineering and testing of component materials which can be used to enhance the performance of warfighting platforms and equipment.

In recognition of the team’s outstanding achievements and contributions, the DSO Materials Team is awarded the Defence Technology Prize 2019 Team (Research & Development) Award.
