Minister of State for Communications & Information and Education, Dr Janil Puthucheary, officiated at the N.E.mation! 11 awards presentation ceremony at the National Gallery Singapore this afternoon, where he presented prizes to the winning teams of the annual N.E.mation! competition. This includes the champion team, MADEit from Cedar Girls' Secondary School, as well as the first and second runners-up cedar3 from Cedar Girls' Secondary School and [Blank Space] from Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary School respectively.
Speaking at the event, Dr Puthucheary commended the teams for their thoughtful and creative interpretations of this year's theme "Together We Keep Singapore Strong", and for bringing across the important messages of how everyone plays a part in safeguarding Singapore on all fronts and how our strength lies in the unity and resilience of Singaporeans through engaging clips. Dr Puthucheary also underscored the importance of a strong, secure and cohesive nation in order to be able to deal with any crisis, and noted that the "ability to do whatever is needed comes from our values, comes from our resilience, comes from our preparedness" and that "being together regardless of our diversity is what makes us strong".
