Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Zaqy Mohamad was in Cairo, Egypt for a working visit from 15 to 16 February 2025.

Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen is in Germany from 14 to 16 February 2025 (Singapore time) to speak at the 61st Munich Security Conference (MSC). The MSC is an annual high-level security conference that brings together heads of government, defence and foreign ministers, parliamentarians, military leaders, and security experts from around the world. This year's MSC covers a wide range of security issues such as geopolitical and security developments in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, and other security issues.

Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen spoke at the 16th Munich Young Leaders (MYL) Roundtable. Held on the sidelines of the 61st Munich Security Conference (MSC)^[1], the MYL Roundtable brings together young leaders from governments, think-tanks and the private sector from Asia-Pacific, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas to discuss issues related to foreign and security policy.

The second edition of Exercise SG Ready was officially kicked off by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr Gan Kim Yong, at the Total Defence Day Commemoration Event (TDDCE) held at the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) Center this afternoon. In his Total Defence Day message, DPM Gan highlighted how Singaporeans need to be prepared for emerging threats that can disrupt our daily lives and emphasised the important role everyone has to play in Total Defence. He said, “As the challenges we face are becoming more complex, it is even more important that we strengthen our whole-of-nation response, Economic, Social, Civil, Digital, Psychological, and Military, to be vigilant, to be prepared when disruptions happen, and to support one another so that we can stay united and recover faster and stronger”
