Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen called on Timor-Leste President José Ramos-Horta this afternoon at the Shangri-La Hotel. President Ramos-Horta is in Singapore to attend the 21st Shangri-La Dialogue, where he will speak at the plenary session titled “Enhancing Crisis Management and Rising Competition”.  

During the meeting, Dr Ng and President Ramos-Horta reaffirmed the friendly bilateral defence relationship between Singapore and Timor-Leste. They exchanged views on regional security developments and ways to enhance bilateral defence cooperation.
