MINDEF/SAF is enhancing our services to improve our pre-enlistees' and Operationally Ready National Servicemen's (NSmen's) experience, and to better support them through their NS journey.
About the New CMPB. The new CMPB is an integrated one-stop service hub that consolidates services for pre-enlistees and NSmen. It is located opposite Cashew MRT in Bukit Gombak, and will be progressively opened from 2025. Pre-enlistees and NSmen can conveniently carry out a range of activities at CMPB such as buying items for their training, going for medical screening, taking their Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT) or attending NS FIT training. Pre-enlistees, NSmen and members of public can also enjoy amenities such as a food court and café, outdoor exercise facilities and a childcare centre.
The key features of CMPB are:
- One-stop Service Centre. At this Service Centre, our friendly service ambassadors and customer service officers will help servicemen with their NS-related service transactions. Servicemen can use the Business Centre to access digital services, or have face-to-face meetings with service providers. Visitors to the Service Centre will receive timely notifications about their appointments, queue status, and expected waiting time. This helps them have a seamless experience. This Service Centre is open from 8am to 5.30pm on Mondays to Fridays, and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays. It is closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.
- SAF's Second Regional Health Hub. As part of SAF's ongoing healthcare delivery transformation efforts, the new CMPB will bring together essential and enhanced healthcare services under one roof to better serve the needs of servicemen. The new CMPB will see the centralisation of various SAF healthcare facilities which are currently spread across multiple locations, including the Medical Classification Centre (MCC), Specialist Medical and Dental Centre, Health Screening Programme (HSP) Centre and MINDEF Medical Centre. Through this new one-stop centre, SAF seeks to enhance the NS experience, streamline patient journeys and improve overall health outcomes for servicemen. Besides providing comprehensive primary and specialist healthcare services to servicemen, the new MCC will deliver a seamless screening process for pre-enlistees and the nested HSP service will also streamline the health screening journey for our NSmen.
- All-weather Fitness Conditioning Centre (FCC). Here, pre-enlistees and NSmen can take their IPPT, and NSmen can also undergo their NS FIT training. This FCC features a sheltered running track within a garden environment, so servicemen can do their IPPT without worrying about bad weather, and enjoy the greenery while running. The schedules for IPPT and NS FIT that are conducted at this FCC are the same as that of other FCCs.
- Lifestylemart. Servicemen can enjoy the convenience of buying their personal equipment here, whenever they are at CMPB.
- Food court and café. There are two eateries that are open to servicemen and the public. Servicemen can refuel there after their IPPT, while their family members or friends can wait for them there while they complete their NS activities. The 700-seater food court has more than 20 stalls offering a wide variety of cuisines, and the smaller café is family-friendly.
- Outdoor fitness zone. This area is equipped with a running trail, exercise stations and a soccer field, nestled in greenery for users to connect with nature while working out. It is open to the public daily from 7.30am to 11pm.
