The National Day Awards Investiture 2023 was held at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF). Chief of Defence Force Vice Admiral (VADM) Aaron Beng officiated on 27 November 2023, while Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen, Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Heng Chee How, and Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Zaqy Mohamad officiated on 28 November 2023.

In 2023, 942 personnel from MINDEF and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) have been recognised for their outstanding performance and dedication to duty and service to the nation. A total of 142 Commendation Medals, 162 Efficiency Medals, and 652 Long Service Medals were awarded to both military and non-military personnel. 14 personnel were awarded with both the Commendation/Efficiency Medal and the Long Service Medal.

At the National Day Awards Ceremony held on 29 October 2023, Chief of Defence Force Vice Admiral Aaron Beng and Chief of Army Major-General David Neo were awarded the Public Administration Medal (Gold)(Military) while Deputy Secretary (Administration) Mrs Elaine Ng, was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Gold). During the ceremony, 16 SAF officers and seven MINDEF personnel were awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver)(Military) and Public Administration Medal (Silver) respectively. In addition, 31 SAF officers and 15 MINDEF personnel were awarded the Public Administration Medal (Bronze)(Military) and Public Administration Medal (Bronze) respectively.
