Background

Every year, the Ministry of Defence presents Gold and Silver awards to key appointment holders of the NDP organising committee, participating organisations and sponsors in recognition of their support and contributions towards NDP.  

To accord better recognition to sponsors for their contributions towards NDP, three new categories - Principal Partners, Major Partners and Co-partners - have been introduced this year for varying levels of monetary or in-kind contributions. The NDP Awards structure was last reviewed in 2001. 

Award categories

The categories and qualifying criteria of the respective NDP awards are as below:

Category Award

Qualifying Criteria

Gold
  • Individuals with supervisory responsibilities in providing directions and/or approval for the NDP plans
  • Individuals involved in the planning and execution of major NDP segments
  • Individuals or Participating Organisations who may not be part of the Executive Committee (EXCO), responsible for directing, planning and executing a major part of NDP efforts

Silver
  • Individuals with responsibilities in the planning and execution of the respective components of NDP
  • Individuals or Participating Organisations who may not be part of EXCO, but work closely with EXCO and has a significant role in executing the NDP efforts

Principal Partners
  • Individuals or organisations that made monetary or in-kind contributions of more than S$200,000

Major Partners
  • Individuals or organisations that made monetary or in-kind contributions of S$100,000 to S$200,000

Co-partners
  • Individuals or organisations that made monetary or in-kind contributions of S$1,000 to S$100,000
