Media Reply To Queries On The Singapore Army’s Hunter Armoured Engineer Vehicle

The Hunter Armoured Engineer Vehicle (HT-AEV), commissioned on 9 Jan 2025, was jointly developed by the Defence Science and Technology Agency, the Singapore Army and ST Engineering. It is part of the family of locally-developed Hunter-Class Armoured Fighting Platforms, and is similarly fully digitalised.

The HT-AEV has an all-round camera system, which provides the crew with a 360-degree field of vision while operating from within the platform. It has enhanced earth-moving capabilities and a gripper arm that can be deployed to overcome various obstacles in urban and conventional environments. It is also equipped with digital C4 systems that allow it to operate seamlessly with the rest of our Hunter-Class platforms. The HT-AEV will replace the Singapore Army’s ageing fleet of Combat Engineer Tractors, which have been in service since the 1990s.

Other variants of the Hunter platform include the Hunter Armoured Fighting Vehicle, Hunter Recovery Vehicle and Hunter Armoured Vehicle Launched Bridge.
