Citation
In his 23-year career as a defence engineer, Mr Mui Whye Kee, Director of C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence) Development at DSTA, has contributed significantly to the holistic development of Intelligence and Strike Command and Control (C2) capabilities for the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). He is widely recognised for his role in leading the development and build-up of C2 architectures and projects for Intelligence and Strike. He pioneered the exploration into Time Critical Targeting, seeding the development of the Integrated Strike capability and providing a platform to incorporate new sensors, weapons and decision support capabilities into the SAF. Mr Mui is also instrumental in the establishment of the SAF Enterprise Geographic Information System which enabled the promulgation of geospatial products and services in support of the wide spectrum of operations undertaken by the SAF. In recognition of his outstanding achievements and contributions to Singapore’s defence, Mr Mui is awarded the DTP 2016 Individual (Engineering) Award.
