Industry and Resources Policy Office (IRPO)’s roots date back to 1986, when Resource Planning Office was formed to oversee strategic resources for MINDEF.

Today, the role of IRPO centres on policy formulation and governance in the following: defence capability management, industry development, land use and building infrastructure, logistics, procurement, technology security and civil resources.
