King of Sweden Visits Singapore Navy Museum

Chief of Navy Rear-Admiral Sean Wat hosted His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden to a visit and tour of the Singapore Navy Museum this afternoon, where he was also briefed on the close defence cooperation between Singapore and Sweden. Also present were Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Ms Maria Malmer Stenegard, and Ambassador of Sweden to Singapore Mr Anders Sjöberg. They were accompanied by Non-Resident Ambassador of Singapore to Sweden Mr Andrew Kwan, Commander Maritime Training and Doctrine Command Colonel Rinson Chua, as well as senior officials from Singapore and Sweden.

The Singapore Army and the Royal Thai Army (RTA) successfully conducted the 24th edition of Exercise Kocha Singa in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, from 7 to 15 November 2024. Chief of Army Major-General (MG) David Neo and Commander-in-Chief RTA General (GEN) Pana Klaewblaudtuk co-officiated the closing ceremony at the Khao Kamphaeng Training Area earlier today.

Over 200 Participants Tackle Cyber Threats at Critical Infrastructure Defence Exercise 2024; First National Cyber Defence Exercise to Include Cloud Testbed for Cyber Defender Training

The Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS) and the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA)¹ organised the Critical Infrastructure Defence Exercise (CIDeX) from 12 to 15 November, at the Devan Nair Institute for Employment and Employability. CIDeX 2024 is supported by iTrust SUTD,² and the National Cybersecurity R&D Laboratory (NCL). CIDeX is focused on training and strengthening Whole-Of-Government (WoG) cyber capabilities to detect and manage cyber security threats to Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT)³ networks that control the operations of critical infrastructure.
