The United States (US) Secretary of the Air Force Barbara Barrett, who is in Singapore for an introductory visit from 22 to 24 November, called on Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen this morning. During their meeting, Dr Ng and Secretary Barrett reaffirmed the excellent and long-standing defence relationship between Singapore and the US, and close cooperation between the two countries' Air Forces.

The Republic of Singapore Air Force and US Air Force interact extensively through bilateral and multilateral exercises, cross-attendance of courses and other professional exchanges. These interactions strengthen cooperation and coordination between the two air forces, and deepen support and mutual understanding between their personnel.

Relevant health checks and safety measures were taken by the visiting delegation.
