HEADQUARTERS MEDICAL CORPS

In 1972, Headquarters Medical Services (HQMS) was established. HQMS consisted of Manpower, General Staff, Medical Logistics and Medical Specialist Branches. MAJ (Dr) Roy Paul was the first Chief Medical Officer.

In 1994, HQMS was renamed Headquarters Medical Corps (HQMC).

Headquarters Medical Corps (HQMC) functions as the corporate headquarters for Medical Corps to lead the professional standards, operational and developmental aspects of all medical capabilities in the SAF.

HQMC was successfully reorganised in November 2019.
