Each air base will take charge of the vocational training and development of the units under its command to maintain high standards of competencies required for the success of the air power generation mission. The bases will also drive the development of tactical doctrines in air base operability and aircraft generation. 

Air Engineering and Logistics Group
The Air Engineering and Logistics Group comprises two Squadrons - Aircraft Operations Maintenance Squadron (AOMS) and Aircraft Specialist Maintenance Squadron (ASMS). The AOMS focuses on the expedient repair of unserviceable aircraft, while the ASMS is responsible for addressing more complex and tedious defects and repair components off-aircraft.

Control Squadron
The Control Squadron provides air traffic control, meteorological monitoring, as well as relevant flight information to the flying Operational Commands. It plays a crucial role in ensuring safe departure and recovery of aircraft operating across all launch and recovery platforms.

Air Base Civil Engineering Squadron
The Airbase Civil Engineering Squadron encompass the airfield damage recovery to enable the airbases to survive and operate even after an enemy attack. It also supports the airbase operations in building and infrastructure maintenance, and airfield operations.

Force Protection Squadron
The Force Protection Squadron performs the role of force protection, providing protection against both conventional and asymmetrical threats to sustain air operations, and ground defence of all launch and recovery platforms. It is also responsible for airbase security operations.

Air Base Sustainment Squadron
The Air Base Sustainment Squadron is responsible for the essential domestics services, such as the provision of meals, vehicles, general equipment stores, clothing, accommodation, electrical power and water to sustain operations within the airbase.
