Weapon Systems Officer (Fighter)
Introduction

The Weapon Systems Officer (Fighter) (WSO (FTR)) Wing is awarded to those who have successfully completed their specialised training in the WSO (FTR).

WSO (FTR)s are expected to possess similar level of situational awareness and airmanship as fighter pilots of the same experience level. WSO (FTR)s are also required to be able to support all aspects of operational requirement as a fighter aircrew in the aft cockpit with the exception of piloting the aircraft.

The Coat-of-Arms signifies the Republic of Singapore. The wings signify the WSO (FTR) as an airborne specialist. The laurels signify honour, pride and glory. The word "WSO" gives bestows a greater connection to the fighter squadron upon the WSO (FTR).
