This Aviation Medical Officer (AvMO) Wing is worn by Medical Officers who have qualified as Aviation Medical Officers. It forges a common identity for aviation medicine practitioners.
The Coat-of-Arms represents the Republic of Singapore, while the two outstretched wings signify the AvMO’s service as active members of the RSAF aircrew community and their integral role to the Air Force. The laurel stands for honour, pride and glory, while the Staff of Aescalepius (a single snake twined around a staff) is the universal symbol of the medical profession.
