The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) will be conducting bilateral Exercise Maritime Cooperation (XMC) with the People’s Liberation Army (Navy) [PLA Navy] from 9 to 16 May 2025.     

The Ministry of Defence has signed a contract with thyssenkrupp Marine Systems GmbH to acquire two additional Invincible-class submarines.  The procurement of 2 additional submarines was previously announced by the Minister for Defence at the Committee of Supply 2025.

MINDEF has signed a contract with Singapore Technologies (ST) Engineering to acquire a suite of new Unmanned Mine Counter-Measure capabilities, including Mine Counter-Measure Unmanned Surface Vessels (MCM USVs), Autonomous Underwater Vehicles and Command & Control (C2) Infrastructures, to replace the existing Bedok-class Mine Counter-Measure Vessels.

Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Zaqy Mohamad delivered the keynote address at the opening dinner of the 9^th International Maritime Security Conference (IMSC) at Jewel Changi Airport this evening. The 9^th IMSC, themed “Safe and Secure Seas”, will see over 400 international participants from navies, coast guards, maritime industries, academia, and think-tanks from more than 50 countries.

Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Zaqy Mohamad opened the International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (IMDEX) Asia 2025 at the Changi Exhibition Centre (CEC) this morning. IMDEX Asia will feature a physical exhibition at the CEC and warships display in RSS Singapura – Changi Naval Base (CNB).
